Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 16 ounces dry fusilli pasta
  • 6 cups water ,boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
  • 8 ounces canadian bacon, chopped
  • 8 ounces mushrooms ,sliced in half
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 4 ounces parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 11 ounces heavy cream ,(1 1/4 cups)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, minced
  • Garnish
  • 8 ounces garlic baguette bread
  • 4 ounces parmesan cheese,grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the pasta in heavily salted boiling water until Al dente.

  • Step 2: Drain.

  • Step 3: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Step 4: Warm the garlic bread according to instructions.

  • Step 5: In a frying pan, heat the oil and add the chicken and rashers (Canadian bacon) and cook until golden brown and cooked through.

  • Step 6: Add the mushrooms, garlic and onion, cook for 2 minutes.

  • Step 7: Lower the heat and stir in the cream and Parmesan.

  • Step 8: Warm through (do not boil) and season to taste with salt, pepper and dried oregano.

  • Step 9: Add the drained, cooked pasta and stir.

  • Step 10: Portion into pasta bowls, sprinkle some grated Parmesan on top and serve with hot garlic bread.
