Step 1: Put everything but garnish in stock pot
Step 2: Simmer 3 hours adding water as needed
Step 3: Stirring occasionally
Step 4: When beans are soft
Step 5: Remove bay leaf
Step 6: Take out pork chops and hock chop and debone
Step 7: Add back into soup
Step 8: Add garnish and stir
Step 9: Season to taste
Step 10: Simmer 10 minutes more until hot
