The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (16 ounces) dry spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms,sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 green onions, minced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 6 ounces parmesan cheese,(2/3 cup )grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley , minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the pasta in heavily salted boiling water

  • Step 2: Al dente

  • Step 3: Drain saving 1/2 cup pasta water

  • Step 4: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 5: Add the mushrooms and cook until softened, about 4 minutes.

  • Step 6: Add the garlic and green onions.

  • Step 7: Season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 8: Continue to cook, stirring, about 1 minute.

  • Step 9: Sprinkle the flour into the pan and stir.

  • Step 10: Add the milk and stir.

  • Step 11: Bring to a gentle simmer and cook about 5 minutes.

  • Step 12: Adding pasta water if needed when you add noodles

  • Step 13: Turn the heat off and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.

  • Step 14: Add the spaghetti noodles and toss to combine. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley
