Step 1: Press the “sauté” button, add butter and sauté onion and red pepper; cook until softened.
Step 2: Add the remaining ingredients.
Step 3: Place the cover over instant pot, turn to close and set release valve to sealing position.
Step 4: Set to manual for 15 minutes and let it do it’s work.
Step 5: Turn instant pot off and let the pressure release naturally for 20 minutes then turn valve to allow for quick release.
Step 6: Take the cover off and remove bay leaves from soup.
Step 7: Take the ham bone out and take ham pieces off bone and mix into soup.
Step 8: Enjoy!
