Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 teaspoons oil
  • 2 cups onions, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • Dredge:
  • 1½ teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • Beef:
  • 4 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1 cup burgundy wine
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 can (10 ounces)beef consomme
  • Veggies:
  • 1 can (16 ounces) mushrooms ,sliced, undrained
  • 1 can (16 ounces)artichoke hearts, drained
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 ounce parmesan cheese, grated (1 tablespoon)
  • 2 packages (16 ounces) refrigerated biscuits,(8 ounces each)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil.

  • Step 2: Saute onions.

  • Step 3: Add garlic

  • Step 4: Remove.

  • Step 5: Mix flour, salt, pepper.

  • Step 6: Dredge meat and brown well.

  • Step 7: Deglaze with wine

  • Step 8: Return onion mixture to pot.

  • Step 9: Add dill weed and consomme.

  • Step 10: (Add to Pam sprayed crockpot here)

  • Step 11: Cover tightly and simmer about 2 hours or until meat is tender.

  • Step 12: Adding water as needed

  • Step 13: Last 30 minutes

  • Step 14: Add veggies to meat.

  • Step 15: Taste for seasoning.

  • Step 16: Pour into Pam sprayed 9x13 casserole.

  • Step 17: Crown with biscuits that you have brushed with butter and parmesan cheese.

  • Step 18: Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400 degrees F.

  • Step 19: Until biscuits are browned
