Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds beef stewing meat
  • 2 medium onions, roughly chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced (use more or less as desired)
  • 3-4 bell peppers, roughly chopped (any color)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 3/4 cup Stir Fry sauce (I use G Hughes Sugar Free Stir Fry Sauce)
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce (more or less as desired)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (reserved)
  • Green onion, chopped (optional, to garnish)
  • Diced tomatoes, chopped (optional, to garnish)
  • Cilantro, chopped (optional, to garnish)
  • Carrots, shredded (optional, to garnish)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Place the stew meat in the slow cooker, then add in the remaining ingredients (except the cornstarch and green onions). Stir.

  • Step 2: Cover and cook on low for about 6-8 hours or high for about 4-5 hours. All slow cookers are different; meat should be fork-tender when ready to eat.

  • Step 3: To thicken the sauce, take about half a cup of the cooking broth and whisk it together with the cornstarch in a small sauce pan. Cook on low until the sauce thickens, then add it back into the slow cooker. Stir well, until the meat and veggies are fully coated.

  • Step 4: Garnish with green onions, tomatoes, cilantro and carrots.
