Step 1: In a saucepan combine first 8 ingredients (-bay leaf) over medium high heat and bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Continue boiling for another 10-15 minutes or until syrup is thick and mixture is reduced to 2 cups. Discard bay leaf and let syrup cool.
Step 2: Strain into a bowl and add the juices and then transfer to ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer's directions. Transfer to container, cover, freeze until firm (this will take at least 6 hours or up to 3 days).
