  • 1 package (16 ounces)potato gnocchi
  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (28 ounces)tomatoes, crushed
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced
  • 8 ounces mozzarella, roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper ,to taste
  • 3 ounces parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F

  • Step 2: Pam spray a 9x13 casserole

  • Step 3: Cook the gnocchi in heavily salted boiling water until they float

  • Step 4: Scoop out into sauce

  • Step 5: Meanwhile

  • Step 6: Heat oil

  • Step 7: Add garlic

  • Step 8: Brown lightly

  • Step 9: Add tomatoes

  • Step 10: Cook 5 minutes

  • Step 11: Add basil and half the cheese cut into rough cubes

  • Step 12: Add the cooked gnocchi

  • Step 13: Season to taste

  • Step 14: Pour into casserole top with rest of the cheeses

  • Step 15: Sprinkle on parmesan cheese over the whole top

  • Step 16: Bake 20 minutes until hot and bubbling
