Step 1: Cook the potato until soft
Step 2: Take potato out
Step 3: Saving 1 cup of the water
Step 4: Cool
Step 5: Meanwhile
Step 6: Heat shortening milk and sugar until milk is scalded and Suger is dissolved & shortening melted
Step 7: Cool
Step 8: Add yeast to cooled potato water
Step 9: Mix salt with potato you've mashed
Step 10: Add to milk mixture
Step 11: Add eggs to milk mixture
Step 12: Add yeast mixture to milk mixture
Step 13: Add flour 2 cups at a time until you get a soft dough
Step 14: Knead on floured board
Step 15: Put in large greased bowl
Step 16: Cover with warm wet towel
Step 17: Let rise until double
Step 18: Punch down
Step 19: Butter pans
Step 20: Make rolls
Step 21: Brush butter over top
Step 22: Put wax paper over the top of the while rising
Step 23: Let rise until double
Step 24: Take off paper
Step 25: Brush with butter again before you bake
Step 26: Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 20 minutes or until done and lightly browned
