Step 1: Fry bacon until crisp; drain well on paper towel; crumble and set aside.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl combine dry ingredients.
Step 3: Using pastry blender cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly.
Step 4: Add cheese and bacon.
Step 5: Gradually pour in milk stirring with a fork to make a soft dough.
Step 6: Turn dough out on floured work surface and knead for 8-10 turns.
Step 7: Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut in squares.
Step 8: Transfer to floured baking sheet.
Step 9: Bake at 450° F for 10-15 minutes.
Step 10: Serve warm with butter.
