Step 1: Heat oil in a wok .
Step 2: When the oil is hot, brown garlic for a few seconds. Add green beans.

Step 4: Add water, hoisin sauce, vinegar, sesame oil and salt.
Step 5: Reduce heat to low.
Step 6: Cover and cook until all the liquid is nearly absorbed and the green beans are tender, 14 minutes.
Step 7: Stir occasionally
Step 8: Add red pepper flakes to taste at end
