  • 4 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in a wok .

  • Step 2: When the oil is hot, brown garlic for a few seconds. Add green beans.

  • Step 3: Cook and stir for 1 minute.

  • Step 4: Add water, hoisin sauce, vinegar, sesame oil and salt.

  • Step 5: Reduce heat to low.

  • Step 6: Cover and cook until all the liquid is nearly absorbed and the green beans are tender, 14 minutes.

  • Step 8: Add red pepper flakes to taste at end
