Ingredients

  • Herb Pastry
  • .5 cup butter or margarine
  • .25 cup cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons light cream
  • .5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.25 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • Filling
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 2 green onions finely chopped
  • 1 can (5.5 ounce/156 g) crabmeat
  • 1 tablespoon sherry
  • 3 eggs
  • .75 cup light cream
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese (about 4 ounces/125g)
  • Freshly ground pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Herb Pastry

  • Step 2: Beat together butter and cream cheese until well blended and fluffy.

  • Step 3: Blend in cream and salt.

  • Step 4: Work in flour and dill. Cover and chill 1 hour.

  • Step 5: Roll out and cut to fit 30 2" tart tins.

  • Step 8: In skillet, melt butter and cook onions until softened.

  • Step 9: Stir in crab meat and sherry.

  • Step 10: Cook over medium low heat for 1 minute.

  • Step 11: Remove from heat and set aside.

  • Step 12: Beat eggs until lightly mixed and blend in cream.

  • Step 13: Stir in crab mixture and pepper to taste.

  • Step 14: Spoon into Pastry lined tart tins.

  • Step 15: Bake in 400°F oven for 15 - 20 minutes or until fillingqqq is set and lightly browned.
