The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup frozen butter, grated
  • 1 cup milk (I use 2%)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 450F Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Grate frozen butter into flour mixture, cut into mixture with a pastry cutter until until it forms small crumbs.

  • Step 2: Make a well in the centre of mixture and pour in half of the milk, stir until the dough starts to come away from the sides of the bowl, add more milk and mix until a ball forms. Turn out onto lightly floured board, knead 6 or 8 times; then roll out to about half inch thick. Cut with a floured biscuit cutter into 6 large or 12 small biscuits. Place on lightly buttered oven tray.

  • Step 3: Bake for 10 to 15 minutes , depending on biscuit size and until golden brown. Remove immediately to bread basket and cover to keep warm.
