  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 4 lemon zest,(3-inch pieces)
  • 2 mint sprigs
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • Fresh:
  • 2 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup vodka, optional
  • 4 cups ice

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan

  • Step 2: Combine 1 cup of water with the sugar, raspberries, lemon zest, mint and salt.

  • Step 3: Bring to a simmer and cook until the sugar has dissolved and the raspberries have broken apart

  • Step 4: 2 minutes.

  • Step 5: Remove from the heat and let cool completely, then strain into a pitcher.

  • Step 6: Add the remaining 3 cups of water, the lemon juice, vodka if using and fill with ice.

  • Step 7: Stir until well chilled, then serve.
