Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamy Peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Get out a 13x9-in baking dish and butter it.

  • Step 2: In a four to five quart pot, mix the corn syrup, sugar, and salt. Cook this over medium heat, while stirring constantly until everything starts to boil.

  • Step 3: Remove the pot from the heat and add the peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir it all together.

  • Step 4: Add the cereal and toss everything together to coat it. Pour this into the greased pan and spread it with a greased spatula.

  • Step 5: Get out a microwave safe mixing bowl. Pour the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips into it and heat in the microwave on 50% power in 30 second intervals. Stir often. Heat until everything is melted.

  • Step 6: Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal that is in the baking dish. Spread it evenly over the top. Place the baking dish in the refrigerator and let the chocolate get set. It should take about 20 to 30 minutes.

  • Step 7: Cut into 24 squares.
