Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons oil (peanut oil )
  • 4 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 medium carrots, peeled and cut into matchstick pieces
  • 10 medium shitake mushrooms, stems removed and discarded, caps thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently until softened, but not brown. Add the green beans. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crisp tender. Stir in carrots, mushrooms, and soy sauce. Cover and cook for 3 - 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the green beans are tender. Taste for seasonings.
