  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/16 teaspoon salt (a pinch)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat your oven to 425° Fahrenheit.

  • Step 2: Get out a large mixing bowl and, with a mixer, combine pumpkin, evaporated milk, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.

  • Step 3: Next, get out a small bowl. Whisk together the rest of the ingredients; flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.

  • Step 4: Pour the dry mixture into the pumpkin mixture. Use the mixer to combine everything.

  • Step 5: Grease a 10-in deep dish pie plate. Pour everything into it, and set the plate on a baking sheet.

  • Step 6: Put into the oven and cook for 15 minutes.

  • Step 7: Place the heat on 350° F and continue cooking for 40 minutes. Check the center of the pie with a toothpick to make sure it's finished.

  • Step 8: Remove the pie from the oven. Let it cool for 30 minutes before serving.
