Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 can (12 ounces) spam, cut into 2 inch dice
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper,to taste
  • Salad:
  • ½ cup red onion, diced
  • 1 birds eye chili, sliced fine
  • 1 anaheim green chili, sliced fine
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • Garnish:
  • 1 tablespoon butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in skillet

  • Step 2: Add the Spam and fry over high heat until the it is crispy and golden.

  • Step 3: Season with pepper to taste

  • Step 4: Meanwhile

  • Step 5: Combine with the diced onion, chili, fish sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, vinegar and season with black pepper to taste if needed. If it needs more sauce or juice adjust to taste

  • Step 6: Transfer the crispy Spam into the salad bowl

  • Step 7: Toss

  • Step 8: Heat a sizzling plate or pan until smoking, add a dab of butter and serve the sisig directly on the hotplate.
