  • 2 cups mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 7 ounces pearled barley,(1 cup)
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable bouillon
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil and saute vegetables until softened

  • Step 2: Add sautéed vegetables to the bottom of the slow cooker.

  • Step 3: Add in water, barley, and seasoning .

  • Step 4: Add water if needed

  • Step 5: Cover and cook on low for 7 hours.

  • Step 6: Stir in parsley and check for seasoning
