  • 1/2 cup bacon grease
  • 2 pounds potatoes, peeled, sliced thin,(6)
  • 1 cup onions,sliced thin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper ,to taste
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon, (1 cube)
  • 1 cup water, boiling
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat fat in heavy frying pan

  • Step 2: Arrange potatoes and onion in layers and season to taste.

  • Step 3: Dissolve bouillon cube in water and add.

  • Step 4: Cover tightly and cook until potatoes are soft and water is absorbed.

  • Step 5: Will take about 30 minutes.

  • Step 6: Turn frequently and watch to see if more water should be added.

  • Step 7: Add parsley.
