Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Sauce:
  • 3 tablespoons bacon fat
  • 1 cup onion,sliced
  • 2 tablespoons green bell pepper, minced
  • 1 tablespoon pimiento, minced
  • 1⁄2 cup mushroom, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (15 ounces)tomatoes
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
  • Liver:
  • 2 pounds beef liver, sliced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1⁄4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Melt grease

  • Step 2: Add onion and green pepper and cook for ten minutes.

  • Step 3: Add rest of ingredients, season to taste

  • Step 4: Simmer over low heat for about an hour.

  • Step 5: Don't cook liver until sauce is almost done

  • Step 6: Liver:

  • Step 7: Dip sliced liver in seasoned flour and saute in hot olive oil until browned on both sides.

  • Step 8: Season with salt and pepper,to taste.

  • Step 9: Place on heated platter and pour hot sauce over the top.

  • Step 10: Garnish with parsley and serve.
