Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds yellow squash, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 package (6 ounces) stovetop stuffing mix
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 8 ounces sour cream,(1 cup)
  • 1 can (10 ounces)cream of chicken soup
  • 1 whole(4 pounds) chicken

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil and debone chicken. (Can make soup with broth)

  • Step 2: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

  • Step 3: Pam spray a 9x9 casserole

  • Step 4: Chop chicken into bite sized pieces.

  • Step 5: Stew squash and onion.

  • Step 6: Drain well.

  • Step 7: Toss stuffing mix with butter

  • Step 8: Set some aside to line bottom and top of casserole. Mix remaining stuffing mixture with sour cream, soup, and chicken.

  • Step 9: Add squash and onion.

  • Step 10: Line bottom of a casserole dish with stuffing.

  • Step 11: Pour in the chicken mixture.

  • Step 12: Top with stuffing.

  • Step 13: Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 minutes.
