  • 48 ounces pork chops, about one and one-half inches thick,(4)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper,to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cup onions,thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 6 ounces heavy cream,(3/4 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill seeds

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper,to taste

  • Step 2: Heat butter and brown chops on all sides.

  • Step 3: Remove them and keep in a warm place.

  • Step 4: Add onions to skillet and cook stirring until they start to brown, about five minutes.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle onions with flour.

  • Step 6: Add chicken broth and mustard stirring constantly with a whisk.

  • Step 7: Add dill

  • Step 8: Add chops back in and simmer 30 minutes covered,adding water as needed until chops are tender

  • Step 9: Stir in cream,don't boil and simmer until smooth.
