Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 16 ounces dry elbow macaroni
  • 1⁄4 cup butter
  • 8 ounces velveeta cheese, cubed,(2 cups)
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese,(2 cups ),shredded
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 1⁄2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

  • Step 2: Cook elbow macaroni in heavily salted boiling water as directed on package.

  • Step 3: Cut up 1/4 cup of butter into small pieces and place in bottom of Pam sprayed 13 x 9 baking pan.

  • Step 4: Drain macaroni

  • Step 5: Place 1/2 of macaroni over butter sprinkle with 1 cup each cubed velveeta and shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Step 6: Beat one egg and 2 1/2 cups milk until blended

  • Step 7: Pour 1/2 of egg mixture over ingredients in pan

  • Step 8: Season to taste

  • Step 9: Repeat layers of macaroni, seasoning to taste, cheese and egg mixture.

  • Step 10: Cover bake 25 minutes

  • Step 11: Uncover

  • Step 12: Stir until blended

  • Step 13: Sprinkle on top with paprika.

  • Step 14: Bake 15 minute more or until golden brown.
