  • 1 can (10 ounces) condensed tomato soup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1⁄3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1⁄2 cup raisins
  • 1⁄4 cup water
  • 1⁄2 cup pecans,chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon butter pecan flavoring
  • 1 box (18 ounces) yellow cake mix

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: Grease 2 9" round cake pans.

  • Step 3: Place mix, undiluted soup, eggs, oil ,extract,and water in large mixing bowl.

  • Step 4: Beat on low 1 minute.

  • Step 5: Add spices and applesauce

  • Step 6: Stop mixer, scrape sides of bowl.

  • Step 7: Beat on medium 2 to 3 minutes.

  • Step 8: Fold in raisins and pecans.

  • Step 9: Bake 28 to 31 minutes.

  • Step 10: Remove to cooling rack for 10 minutes.

  • Step 11: Invert cake 2 times until right side up.

  • Step 12: Then cool 30 minutes more.
