Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Sauce:
  • 8 ounces butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 16 ounces heavy cream,(2 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper ,to taste
  • Pasta:
  • 1 pound raw spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 cups water,boiling
  • Fish:
  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup red bell peppers, minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup zucchini, squash, sliced
  • 1/4 cup frozen broccoli florets, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Garnish:
  • 4 ounces parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pasta :

  • Step 2: Add pasta to heavily salted boiling water

  • Step 3: Cook al dente

  • Step 4: Drain saving 1/2 cup pasta water

  • Step 5: Meanwhile

  • Step 6: Broil salmon brushed lightly with oil and seasoned to taste until flakey

  • Step 7: Meanwhile

  • Step 8: Make sauce

  • Step 9: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

  • Step 10: Add garlic and shallots and sauté until translucent.

  • Step 11: Add cream

  • Step 12: Whisking constantly, heating until bubbling and thickened.

  • Step 13: Add parsley, basil, and salt and pepper to taste, whisking until the sauce is velvety smooth.

  • Step 14: Add marinara sauce

  • Step 15: Keep sauce warm until ready to use.

  • Step 18: In saucepan

  • Step 19: Heat butter

  • Step 20: Add onions and bell peppers cook until softened

  • Step 21: Add mushrooms and broccoli

  • Step 22: Add zucchini cook until just crisp

  • Step 23: Plating

  • Step 24: Add noodles to sauce

  • Step 25: Check seasoning

  • Step 26: Adding pasta water if dry

  • Step 27: Plate in 4 plates

  • Step 28: Placing salmon on top of each one

  • Step 29: Place veggies around evenly on one side

  • Step 30: Put parmesan on top
