Ingredients

  • 2 cup self rising flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup shortening,( crisco )
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Filling:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Cing:
  • 2 cup powered sugar , sifted
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

How to Make

  • Step 1: PreHeat oven to 350 degrees F

  • Step 2: Beat sugar and crisco

  • Step 3: Add eggs and beat.

  • Step 4: Add flour and milk and vanilla and beat 2 minutes.

  • Step 5: Spread 1/2 of this into a greased and floured Pam sprayed 9x13 pan.

  • Step 6: Filling:

  • Step 7: Sprinkle evenly on cake

  • Step 8: Pour and spread the rest of the batter on the filling. Swirl with a knife

  • Step 9: Bake at 350 for 30 minutes

  • Step 10: Icing:

  • Step 11: Heat milk and butter, add sugar and vanilla.

  • Step 12: Poke holes in cake

  • Step 13: Pour over warm cake.
