  • 1 2/2 tablespoons salt,(to taste)
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons bacon grease
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 pounds ham hocks,(2)
  • 2 cups water

  • Step 1: Cover beans with water overnight

  • Step 2: Drain

  • Step 3: Add to Pam sprayed crockpot

  • Step 7: Adding water as needed

  • Step 8: Remove hocks

  • Step 9: Take out bones and chop add back
