Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tuna, drained
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 4 ounces medium cheddar cheese,(4 slices)
  • 4 ounces sourdough bread,(4 slices)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/16 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1/16 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine tuna, mayonnaise and sweet pickle relish in bowl

  • Step 2: Arrange 1 slice cheese over each slice of bread

  • Step 3: Top with tuna mixture and close sandwiches.

  • Step 4: Melt butter ( may need more) in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat to get ready for sandwich

  • Step 5: Beat together egg and milk in a pie plate.

  • Step 6: Season to taste

  • Step 7: Dip each sandwich in egg mixture, turning to coat lightly.

  • Step 8: Add sandwiches to hot buttered pan

  • Step 9: Cook 3 to 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

  • Step 10: Cut sandwiches diagonally in half
