Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 pound dry spaghetti
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened,(3/4 cup)
  • 1/2 cup pasta water
  • 2 ounces parmesan,(1/4 cup ),grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook the pasta in heavily salted boiling water al dente

  • Step 2: Save a 1/2 cup pasta water

  • Step 3: Drain

  • Step 4: Meanwhile, in a large skillet warm olive oil and saute the garlic for 2-3 minutes.

  • Step 5: Use a low flame, do not let the garlic burn.

  • Step 6: Then stir in the cream cheese

  • Step 7: Stir

  • Step 8: Add 1/2 cup pasta water.

  • Step 9: Stir to combine garlic, cream cheese, pasta water and create a nice and creamy emulsion.

  • Step 10: Add parmesan cheese and stir well.

  • Step 11: Add the drained spaghetti

  • Step 12: Toss

  • Step 13: Season to taste,I like more pepper you do you
