Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons minced onion
  • 2/3 cup chopped celery
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup dry long grain rice
  • 2 tablespoons grated orange rind
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme

How to Make

  • Step 1: Saute onion and celery in butter in saucepan until tender.

  • Step 2: Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil.

  • Step 3: Lower heat; cover and simmer about 20 minutes or until rice is tender.

  • Step 4: Remove from heat; toss lightly with a fork. Replace cover and let rice stand about 5 minutes.
