Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 12 ounces kielbasa
  • 6 ounces bacon,(6 slices)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup tarragon vinegar
  • 1 package (12 ounces)dry small shell macaroni
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook macaroni in heavily salted boiling water adding sausage on top of macaroni

  • Step 2: Simmer until macaroni cooked

  • Step 3: Save 3/4 cup pasta water

  • Step 4: Drain.

  • Step 5: Slice kielbasa

  • Step 6: Set aside

  • Step 7: Meanwhile

  • Step 8: In large skillet

  • Step 9: Cook bacon till crisp

  • Step 10: Drain, reserving 3 Tablespoons drippings in skillet.

  • Step 11: Crumble bacon

  • Step 12: Set aside.

  • Step 13: Cook mushrooms in reserved drippings for 2 minutes.

  • Step 14: Stir in sugar, flour, salt, and pepper; add ¾ pasta

  • Step 15: Water and the vinegar.

  • Step 16: Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.

  • Step 17: Add kielbasa, macaroni, bacon, and parsley.

  • Step 18: Toss together
