Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Sauce :
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic,minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) tomato's, diced
  • 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (6 ounces)tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups water
  • Meatball :
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil ,for browning meatballs,(called for 1 cup)
  • 3/4 pound ground beef,(chuck or better)
  • 1/4 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup dry italian bread crumbs
  • 4 ounces parmesan cheese, grated (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs,beaten
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 16 ounces dry angel hair spaghetti

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sauce Directions:

  • Step 2: In large pot

  • Step 3: Heat olive oil on medium high and saute onions. Drain oil and add remaining ingredients.

  • Step 4: Bring to boil

  • Step 5: And then simmer for 1 hour.

  • Step 6: Pasta:

  • Step 7: Begin boiling after all meatballs have been cooked and placed into simmering sauce.

  • Step 8: Cook spaghetti in heavily salted boiling water al dente

  • Step 9: Drain

  • Step 10: Meatball Directions:

  • Step 11: In large bowl mix all ingredients with hands and form into 2 inch balls.

  • Step 12: Heat olive oil on medium heat in large skillet.

  • Step 13: Place several meatballs at a time in preheated oil. Cook until evenly browned.

  • Step 14: Do this until all meatballs are cooked.

  • Step 15: Place browned meatballs on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

  • Step 16: Place cooked meatballs into the hot spaghetti sauce.

  • Step 17: Let the meatballs simmer in sauce while the spaghetti noodles are boiling. Last 12 minutes
