  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 cup basmati rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ounce grated Parmesan cheese

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add olive oil to the pan.

  • Step 2: Add the garlic clove and saute for 30 seconds. Add the basmati rice and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

  • Step 3: Add 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, and then cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 12 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed.

  • Step 4: Remove from heat, and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in parsley, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
