  • 5 cups bean sprouts, rinsed, dried
  • 2/3 cup sliced water chestnut, drained
  • 2/3 cup mushrooms,sliced
  • 2/3 cup bamboo shoots, drained, rinsed, dried
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 16 ounces chow mein noodles,heated

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a shallow bowl, salt shrimp then dip in egg white, coating completely.

  • Step 2: Heat wok.

  • Step 3: Add oil and heat the oil until it sizzles when a drop of water is dropped into the pan.

  • Step 4: Add shrimp to wok and stir regularly for 1 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add sherry.

  • Step 6: Add all vegetables and stir fry about 2 minutes.

  • Step 7: Add broth and bring to a boil

  • Step 8: Cook until shrimp are done and vegetables are tender.

  • Step 9: Do not overcook.

  • Step 10: Add seasonings

  • Step 11: Then add cornstarch water mixture to thicken.

  • Step 12: Cook 2 minutes.

  • Step 13: Serve with chow mein noodles.
