  • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 8 ounces frozen corn
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoons parsley , minced
  • Grits:
  • 4 cups chicken stock
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces dry grits,(1 cup)
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces creamed corn

How to Make

  • Step 1: Grits:

  • Step 2: Bring salt broth and cream corn to boil

  • Step 3: Whisk in grits

  • Step 4: Simmer for 15 minutes

  • Step 7: Add cheese off heat

  • Step 8: Stir

  • Step 9: Meanwhile in a wok

  • Step 11: Heat oil and butter

  • Step 14: Add shrimp

  • Step 15: Add corn and green onions

  • Step 16: Add chicken stock

  • Step 17: Simmer 10 minutes mix cornstarch and water

  • Step 18: Add to toppings

  • Step 19: Cook until thickened

  • Step 20: Add parsley

  • Step 21: Season to taste

  • Step 22: Toss

  • Step 23: Bowl grits

  • Step 24: Put topping on top of grits
