Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Tomato, cut in slices or diced (I prefer slices)
  • Onion, cut in quarters and thin sliced
  • Cucumber, thin sliced
  • Fresh basil, torn
  • Seasoned rice wine vinegar (I use Nakano basil and oregano; but there are many brands available)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: As I mentioned, use as much of each ingredient as you want; there is no right or wrong. Add the tomato, cucumber, onion, basil and toss. Or you can layer the salad if you want too. Add the dressing over the salad and season with salt and pepper. The rice wine vinegar has such a nice light flavor, no oil is needed.

  • Step 2: It is an extremely light and healthy salad. ENJOY!
