Step 5: Mix butter, sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
Step 6: Stir in flour mixture.
Step 7: Gently add oats and nuts and stir.
Step 8: Drop a scant tablespoon of dough on sheet.
Step 9: Bake about 15 minutes or until slightly browned.
Step 10: Let cool
Step 11: Sprinkle with a dusting of powdered sugar.
