  • 4 (340 grams) tilapia fish fillets
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup pecans, ground fine
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How to Make

  • Step 1: Rinse and pat dry the fish; place in a shallow dish and pour the buttermilk over it. Let stand 5 minutes.

  • Step 2: In a separate shallow dish, combine cracker crumbs, pecans, and seasonings.

  • Step 3: Remove the fish from the buttermilk and dredge in the crumb mixture; place fish in a shallow greased baking dish.

  • Step 4: Bake at 375F for 20 minutes; flipping once halfway through baking time.
