Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pint strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter, cold and unsalted, diced
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • Whipped cream, for serving

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat air fryer to 300 degrees F.

  • Step 2: In a bowl combine the strawberries and 2 teaspoons sugar. Set aside.

  • Step 3: In another bowl whisk together 1 tablespoon sugar and the dry ingredients (-salt). Add butter and using a pastry blender, two knives or your hands to combine.

  • Step 4: Slowly pour in the buttermilk, combining with your hands until dough comes together.

  • Step 5: Spray the air fryer baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and then pour mixture into pan, spreading and pressing it into an even layer.

  • Step 6: Cook for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Step 7: Remove from air fryer and allow to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes and then add the strawberries and 2 tablespoon of whipped cream on the top. Slice into 4 pieces and serve.
