Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cans (32 ounces )garbanzo beans, drained,(16 ounces each)
  • 6 ounces bacon, chopped,(6 slices)
  • 1⁄4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrot, julienned
  • 1 1⁄2 cups roma tomatoes, diced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon rosemary, ground
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 ounces dry miniature bow tie pasta

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add beans to food processor and process using on/off pulse until beans are well mashed.

  • Step 2: Scrape down sides as necessary.

  • Step 3: Reserve.

  • Step 4: Heat oil in a Dutch oven.

  • Step 5: Add bacon

  • Step 6: Add carrots, onions, celery and garlic and saute for 5 minutes on medium heat.

  • Step 7: Add remaining ingredients except pasta and bring to a boil.

  • Step 8: Reduce heat to a simmer and cook stirring occasionally for 25 minutes.

  • Step 9: Add dry pasta to soup

  • Step 10: Simmer 10 minutes more
