Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups blueberries, wild if possible
  • 1 lemon, grated zest and juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or maple sugar
  • 2 teaspoons arrowroot (or use 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a saucepan over medium heat add the berries and the next 4 ingredients (all ingredients except for the arrowroot powder) and 1 tablespoon water and cook for about 10 minutes or until the juices run. Add the dissolved arrowroot powder (dissolve arrowroot powder in 2 tablespoons water) and cook for a few more minutes or until juices run clear.
