Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1⁄2 cups flour
  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 cup corn oil
  • 2 tablespoons milk,cold

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sift dry ingredients into pie pan.

  • Step 2: Combine Mazola and milk in measuring cup.

  • Step 3: Whip with a fork and pour all at once over flour mixture.

  • Step 4: Mix with fork until flour is completely dampened. Press evenly and firmly with fingers to line bottom of pan;

  • Step 5: Then press dough up to line sides and partly cover rim.

  • Step 6: Be sure dough is pressed to uniform thickness.

  • Step 7: To flute

  • Step 8: Pinch dough lightly with fingers.

  • Step 9: Do not use a high fluted edge.

  • Step 10: For baked shell:

  • Step 11: Prick entire surface with a fork

  • Step 12: Bake in hot oven (425 d F) 12-15 minutes.

  • Step 13: Cool

  • Step 14: Fill as desired.

  • Step 15: For unbaked shell:

  • Step 16: Fill as desired and bake in hot oven (400 d F) 15 minutes

  • Step 17: Then reduce heat to moderate (350 d F) and bake until filling tests done.
