  • Sauce:
  • 8 ounces ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups water
  • 4 ounces canned tomatoes, crushed
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sauce

  • Step 2: Brown ground beef

  • Step 3: Add garlic

  • Step 4: Drain if needed

  • Step 5: Add spices add water and tomato and simmer 30 minutes

  • Step 6: Add cornstarch to 1/4 cup water whisking to combine

  • Step 7: Add to sauce

  • Step 8: Whisk until thickened

  • Step 9: Meanwhile preheat oven 350 degrees F

  • Step 10: Spray Pam in 9x13 casserole

  • Step 11: Put a layer of sauce in bottom

  • Step 12: Heat oil in skillet

  • Step 13: Fry tortilla until soft and pliable

  • Step 14: Add a layer of cheese and onion

  • Step 15: Roll and put sides down

  • Step 16: Repeat

  • Step 17: Pour rest of thickened sauce over

  • Step 18: Top with more cheese

  • Step 19: Bake 30 minutes until hot and bubbly and cheese is melted
