Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 ounces frozen breaded chicken patties,(2)
  • Garlic butter:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 ounce romano cheese, grated,(2 tablespoons)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Sauce:
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/32 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 4 ounces italian bread,(4 thick slices)
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 ounces mozzarella cheese, sliced,(2 slices)
  • 6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced,(6 slices)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Bake in the preheated 375 degrees oven until cooked through and crispy, about 20 minutes.

  • Step 2: Cut chicken patties in half lengthwise.

  • Step 3: Mix garlic powder cheese and butter

  • Step 4: Spread garlic butter onto 1 side of each bread slice.

  • Step 5: Mix marinara sauce, basil, and garlic salt together in a microwave-safe bowl

  • Step 6: Heat in microwave until warmed, 1 minute.

  • Step 7: Stir.

  • Step 8: Place 1 bread slice, butter-side down, into a skillet

  • Step 9: Top with 2 slices provolone cheese, a tomato 1 tablespoon marinara sauce, layer of mozzarella,2 chicken patty halves, overlapped to cover bread, 2 tablespoons marinara sauce, 1 slice provolone cheese, and bread, butter-side up.

  • Step 10: Cook over medium heat until bread is crisp and cheese is melted, 2 to 3 minutes per side.

  • Step 11: Repeat with remaining ingredients for second sandwich.

  • Step 12: Serve rest of sauce on the side for dipping
