  • 2 pounds beef stew meat
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 5 carrots cut in 1 inch pieces
  • 1 pound potatoes,( 3 large ,peeled cut in quarters)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 package (1 ounce)dry onion soup mix

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

  • Step 2: Mix meat in flour and seasoning

  • Step 3: Toss in oil

  • Step 4: Toss into 3 quart casserole

  • Step 5: Bake uncovered for 30 minutes

  • Step 6: Stir once

  • Step 7: Add remaining ingredients

  • Step 8: Cover and bake 2 hours at 375 degrees or until meat is tender
