Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 packages (16 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls,(8 ounces each
  • Filling:
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/16 cup amaretto liqueur
  • Topping:
  • 1 egg yolk for brushing
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for dusting

How to Make

  • Step 1: Knead the almonds, powdered sugar, vanilla ,butter and amaretto liqueur into a smooth mass, divide into 16 portions and shape into small, finger-thick rolls.

  • Step 2: Roll out each crescent roll

  • Step 3: Place a small almond amaretto roll on the wide end of each piece of roll and roll up into croissants towards the top.

  • Step 4: Brush the croissants with egg yolk and place them well apart on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

  • Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven on the middle shelf at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes until light yellow.(check time given on package)

  • Step 6: After baking, allow the almond amaretto croissants to cool completely on the baking tray and shake powdered sugar on top
