Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Sauce:
  • 3 cups tomato juice
  • 2/3 cup vodka
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lemon,juiced
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Dip:
  • 8 ounces sour cream,(2/3 cup)
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, minced

How to Make

  • Step 1: Make dip:

  • Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, horseradish and dill.

  • Step 3: Refrigerate

  • Step 4: In a large bowl

  • Step 5: Drizzle wings with oil.

  • Step 6: Season with celery salt and black pepper and set aside.

  • Step 7: In another large bowl

  • Step 8: Combine tomato juice, vodka, brown sugar, hot sauce, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice.

  • Step 9: Whisk until fully incorporated and season with salt and pepper.

  • Step 10: Pour bloody Mary mixture over wings until they are fully submerged

  • Step 11: Reserving some to reduce.

  • Step 12: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

  • Step 13: Preheat oven to 425.

  • Step 14: When an hour has passed remove wings from the bowl with tongs and place on a large baking sheet. Roast 45 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

  • Step 15: Meanwhile

  • Step 16: In a small saucepan over medium heat, add marinade.

  • Step 17: Bring to a simmer and cover until reduced by half.

  • Step 18: When wings are ready, brush them with the thickened sauce and broil on high for 3-5 minutes.
