Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 16 ounces dry macaroni
  • 6 cups water, boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Soup:
  • 1 can(10 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon shaoxing wine
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoons chicken bouillon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper,to taste
  • Ham:
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 4 ounces ham ,chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Boil macaroni pasta in heavily salted boiling water. Add about 3 minutes over package instructions- you want these slightly over cooked like how they do it in China.

  • Step 2: Rinse under cool water, drain and set aside.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile

  • Step 4: In another pot

  • Step 5: Add 1 can of cream chicken soup, boullion, and water.

  • Step 6: Bring to broth to a boil and mix well

  • Step 7: Then lower to simmer for 10 min.

  • Step 8: Add Shaoxing wine, white pepper and sesame oil simmer for 10 min until ready to serve.

  • Step 9: Meanwhile

  • Step 10: To cook ham

  • Step 11: Add a tiny bit of oil to small pan over high heat until hot and glossy

  • Step 12: Then add ham and fry both of the sides until a little browned and fragrant.

  • Step 13: To serve

  • Step 14: Ladle a scoop of drained noodles into a bowl and ladle in some soup broth

  • Step 15: The broth should cover the noodles

  • Step 16: Garnish with ham slices in the middle
