Step 3: Set aside.
Step 4: In a large mixing bowl
Step 5: Whisk together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Step 6: Add butter and use a pastry blender to break it down until the largest pieces are the size of small peas.
Step 7: Stir in buttermilk until a dough forms.
Step 8: Flour a surface and your fingertips.
Step 9: Turn dough onto the surface and pat until it’s 1/2-inch thick.
Step 10: Use a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter to cut biscuits.
Step 11: Make sure to cut directly down—do not twist.
Step 12: Place cut biscuits a couple of inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
Step 13: Bake biscuits 12 minutes, or until browned
